A first name is considered the active, conscious self – it is the everyday, walking around town self, known to many by the same name. The last name represents your superconscious, with all the family’s and the soul’s inherited traits – all that you, your ancestors, and your “guides” have passed on through you. This name is also known to many – yet they may or may not be aware of from how far its influence has come. (Note that the custom of women taking on a new last name when they marry may not be considered a beneficial change in terms of numerology.) The middle name represents the subconscious – a bridge that connects the conscious self to its higher mind. Not having e a middle name doesn’t eliminate a part of your character but can increase the difficulty in contacting your true nature. When analyzing a name, examine the root numbers of each name in this light as well as looking at the total numbers of the entire name.
Accurate analysis requires that one begins with the name as issued on the birth certificate and any unusual circumstances surrounding the official process of naming. Mistakes, delays or changes are all considered highly significant. Once having analyzed the “Given Name,” you will have a sense of the soul’s original plan. Then it is significant to look at all variations of a name:
• Given Name – the soul’s initial outline of your personality
• Present Signature – conscious emphasis on aspects of your personality
• Legally Changed Name – fate’s intervention to change your personality
• Nickname – others/yourself trying to change the current personality
